1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Sudomimus (the "Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service. These Terms apply to individual account holders and to people who use Sudomimus to build or manage applications. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Sudomimus provides identity-provider and authentication infrastructure. Integrating applications can use it to authenticate users and establish application sessions. The Service includes web endpoints, client libraries, a hosted authentication interface, and account and developer-management features. An integrating application remains responsible for its own business authorization.

3. Account Responsibilities

You are responsible for protecting the authentication credentials associated with your account, including passkeys registered on your devices. Tell us promptly if you believe someone has accessed your account without permission. Do not share an individual account with others.

4. Developer Features

If you create, join, or manage an organization or application, the separate Developer Terms Addendum also applies to your use of those features. It explains your responsibilities for application authorization, identity information, domain policies, credentials, and your users.

5. Acceptable Use

Do not use the Service to violate any law or third-party right. Do not disrupt, overload, or interfere with the Service or its infrastructure. Do not request identity claims under false pretenses or use them for a purpose you have not disclosed to users. Do not use the Service to send unsolicited bulk messages.

Do not reverse-engineer, decompile, or try to extract source code from parts of the Service that are not licensed to you for that purpose, except where applicable law permits it. This restriction does not limit rights granted by a separate open-source license for a component you receive under that license. Do not resell or sublicense access to the hosted Service without our written permission.

6. Service Availability

Sudomimus is an independently maintained personal project. We make reasonable efforts to keep information about the Service accurate and the Service available. The Service and its documentation are provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent permitted by applicable law, we do not warrant that they will be uninterrupted, error-free, or suitable for a particular purpose. We do not promise a specific uptime or service level unless we expressly agree otherwise in writing. You are responsible for deciding whether the Service meets your needs and for protecting your application and data.

We may suspend, change, or permanently discontinue all or part of the Service if continued operation becomes impracticable, including because of maintenance demands, security risks, or operating costs. When reasonably practicable, we will give advance notice and explain the available options for account data. We may act without advance notice when an urgent security, legal, or operational issue requires it. We will handle remaining personal data under our Privacy Policy.

7. Intellectual Property and Open-Source Components

You retain ownership of content you submit to the Service. Sudomimus's name, marks, and branding remain protected. These Terms do not grant you rights in them. Publicly distributed software and specifications may have separate open-source licenses. Those licenses govern your use of the covered materials; these Terms govern use of the hosted Service.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Sudomimus and its operator are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including lost profits, revenue, data, or goodwill, arising from the Service. Our total liability for claims arising from the Service will not exceed the amount you paid us for the Service in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that applicable law does not allow us to exclude or limit.

9. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time and delete your account through the available controls. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms, if required by law, or for prolonged inactivity. Terms that by their nature should continue to apply after access ends, including intellectual-property and liability terms, will remain in effect.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms. We will publish the revised text and update the date on this page. For a material change, we may notify you through the Service and ask you to accept the revised Terms before you continue using it. If you do not agree to a revised version, you may stop using the Service and request account deletion through the available controls.
